Florida DrupalCamp 2025 to Feature Collaborative Editing with EditTogether

Florida DrupalCamp 2025, a premier event for Drupal professionals and enthusiasts, will take place from February 21 to 23, 2025, in Orlando, FL. The event includes Drupal training sessions on Day One, conference sessions on Day Two, and Contribution Day on Day Three, offering opportunities for learning, collaboration, and community engagement.

As part of the Site-Building track, the camp will feature a session on collaborative editing in Drupal using the EditTogether module. Led by Ken Rickard, Sr. Director of Consulting, and Alex Jones, Senior Technical Architect at Palantir.net, the session will take place on Saturday, February 22, from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM. Developed by the team behind Drupal 7’s content moderation system, EditTogether enables real-time, secure content collaboration within the Drupal editorial interface. The module allows multiple editors to update content simultaneously, leave threaded comments, and integrate with Drupal’s content moderation workflows.

The session will include a live demo covering key features such as editing, commenting, and versioning. It will also include a technical deep dive into the Yjs framework, ProseMirror for data integrity, and WebRTC for real-time communication. Attendees will also learn about installation requirements, module dependencies, and core workarounds for Drupal’s Edit module.

Drupal users seeking to enhance their editorial workflows and content management capabilities are encouraged to attend. More details on the session are available at: "Collaborative Editing in Drupal with EditTogether." For event details, visit Florida DrupalCamp 2025.
