DrupalSouth 2026 Splash Awards Open Applications for Judges
DrupalSouth has opened applications for judges for the 2026 Splash Awards, inviting experienced professionals from across the Drupal and digital sectors to act as independent reviewers. Applications close on 20 March 2026, with judging scheduled from 30 March to 12 April ahead of DrupalSouth Wellington 2026, which runs from 12 May to 14 May.
The Splash Awards programme, first established by Stichting Drupal Nederland, recognises Drupal projects and digital work delivered across regional Drupal communities. The DrupalSouth Splash Awards focus specifically on work produced in Australia and New Zealand.
For the 2026 programme, organisers said a minimum of six judges will be selected by the DrupalSouth Steering Committee based on suitability and experience. Judges are expected to evaluate submissions across multiple award categories unless a conflict of interest applies to a specific entry.
The call for judges outlines the expectation that applicants are established leaders in the design, development, marketing, or project management of successful websites, particularly Drupal-based platforms. Organisers said judges should demonstrate experience across at least three areas among strategy, project management, Drupal development, product ownership, leadership, design and technology.
Selected judges will be required to complete scoring during the review window from 30 March to 12 April. The judging process involves reviewing submissions and ranking entries within each category according to the programme’s evaluation criteria.
DrupalSouth Wellington 2026 is scheduled for 12 May to 14 May, with a contribution day planned at 93E Cuba Street in Te Aro and the main conference to be held at Harbourside Function Venue. The Splash Awards programme forms part of the wider conference activities associated with the event.
Details on eligibility, expectations and the self-nomination process are available on the DrupalSouth website.
