Mautic 7.1.0 “Canis Major” Focuses on Stability and Platform Improvements
Version 7.1.0 of Mautic, code-named “Canis Major,” introduces updates focused on stability, performance, and usability across the open-source marketing automation platform.
The release continues the Mautic 7 series, introducing changes to both user-facing features and the underlying system architecture. It includes enhancements to campaign workflows, reporting capabilities, and contact management, alongside technical updates aimed at improving maintainability and reliability.
Marketer-facing improvements include updates to the campaign builder, such as automatic alignment of elements, improved previews, and clearer scheduling controls. Reporting features have been expanded with additional metrics, including UTOR tracking, segment-level insights, and event statistics previews.
The update also introduces refinements in form handling and contact management, including improved validation, accessibility updates, and new filtering options. Tracking systems have been enhanced with privacy-aware validation and bot detection mechanisms.
Developer-focused changes include support for newer PHP versions, including PHP 8.5, along with refactoring across campaign logic and core components. The release expands automated test coverage and removes legacy and duplicate code, contributing to improved code quality.
Additional improvements include user interface updates, performance optimisations, and bug fixes across campaigns, emails, forms, and API functionality. The release also reflects continued community contribution, with more than five new contributors participating in this cycle.
