DrupalSouth Sydney 2024 Celebrates Excellence with the Splash Awards Winners
The much-anticipated Drupal Splash Awards 2024 for Australia and New Zealand, held at the iconic Sydney Masonic Centre as part of the DrupalSouth Sydney 2024 conference, culminated in a grand celebration of innovation and creativity within the Drupal community. Sponsored by Ironstar, the awards showcased individuals and agencies' remarkable talents and efforts across various categories.
The competition was intense this year, with the judges selecting just 20 nominees out of many high-quality entries. The awards highlight the best in Drupal development, acknowledging those who have set new standards in design, functionality, and impact.
In the Corporate Category, the fierce competition saw nominees such as Technocrat with their projects "Master Builders Association NSW" and "First State Auctions," Salsa Digital's "For use by anyone," and Sparks Interactive's initiative for "Subaru of New Zealand." The community eagerly awaited the winner in this category and was announced as Sparks Interactive for their Subaru of New Zealand.

The Design/UX Category brought forward nominees like Morpht for the "National Office for Child Safety," Icon Agency for their work on "The Australian Space Agency" and "Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission," and Ackama with "Pacific Blue." ICON Agency secured the award for outstanding design and user experience.

For the Government-Federal category, the nominees were Icon Agency for "The Australian Space Agency," the Australian War Memorial for their digital experience section, Morpht's "National Office for Child Safety," and the "Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority." The winning project, celebrated for its public service and impact, is Morpht for the National Office for Child Safety.

The Government—State/Local Category saw shortlisted nominations for Salsa Digital's work with the "Western Australia Department of Premier and Cabinet—Office of Digital Government and Court Services Victoria," Sitback Solutions for the "Sydney Opera House Trust," and Ackama for "Gippsland Water." The top honors in this category were awarded to Sitback Solutions for the Sydney Opera House Trust.

The Open-source Category showcased the contributions of Tomato Elephant Studio, GovCMS (Salsa Digital and amazee.io) for "Department of Finance/GovCMS," Service NSW (PreviousNext), and Sparks Interactive. The award, celebrating the spirit of open-source collaboration and innovation, was bestowed upon Tomato Elephant Studio.

Finally, the Best in Show award was secured by Morpht for the National Office for Child Safety.

The DrupalSouth Splash Awards 2024 celebrated the achievements of these talented individuals and teams and highlighted the continuous growth and vitality of the Drupal community in Australia and New Zealand.
