Splash Awards Asia Debuts at DrupalCon Singapore 2024
For the first time in history, the prestigious Splash Awards will soon land in Asia at DrupalCon Singapore 2024. The global conference upholds the spirit of knowledge-sharing and community-building, and the first-ever DrupalCon Splash Awards in Singapore will present an unforgettable night of recognition, inspiration, and celebration.
Held across the globe to recognise excellence in Drupal projects, the Splash Awards celebrate the best and brightest websites, digital experiences, and open-source contributions developed with Drupal. This momentous event provides an exclusive platform for agencies, developers, and clients in the region to showcase their creative and technical achievements on an international stage.
The Splash Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 5:15 PM inside the Garden Ballroom at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay. The evening promises to be a night of glamour and inspiration, as Drupal developers and agencies gather to celebrate the exceptional work being done in the community. With Drupal’s Founder and Project Lead, Dries Buytaert, announcing the "Best in Show" award, the event is set to be both memorable and inspiring.
Categories of Recognition
For its debut in Asia, the Splash Awards introduces two major categories of recognition: Drupal Websites and Digital Experiences and Open Source Drupal Projects. These categories celebrate not only the technical and creative work developed for specific organisations but also contributions that have enriched Drupal’s open-source ecosystem. The Drupal Websites and Digital Experiences category includes award categories covering a variety of industries, ensuring a broad spectrum of projects is honoured. From impactful websites for government and educational organisations to dynamic, user-centric experiences in the corporate and non-profit sectors, this award segment spotlights achievements across an array of fields.
The Open Source Drupal Projects category, meanwhile, recognises the foundational work that enhances the Drupal platform itself. This category is dedicated to open-source projects, such as modules, themes, or other initiatives that have been designed to make Drupal more accessible, efficient, or customisable for a wider audience. Through this recognition, the Splash Awards emphasise the core of the Drupal community: collaboration and Open Source contribution
