React Online Marks 25 Years of Digital Innovation
Dutch digital agency React Online marks its 25th anniversary, reflecting on its growth from a small startup during the dotcom crisis to an established name in digital solutions. Over the past quarter-century, the company has expanded its expertise in strategy, Artificial Intelligence (AI), online platforms, websites, and applications.
Founded in 2000, React Online emerged at a time when digital solutions were becoming increasingly necessary. The company initially focused on merging creativity with technology, developing interactive concepts and 3D animations under the name React New Media. It later transitioned into a full-service digital agency, adapting to industry shifts, including the rise of mobile internet and AI-driven platforms.
One of its notable projects came in 2008 with the Rabobank Club Fundraising Campaign, which redefined member engagement by securing five million votes. In 2012, React Online integrated Drupal into its services, reinforcing its presence in the open-source community. Organizations such as Victim Support Netherlands, RTL News, and Amnesty International now rely on its solutions.
The agency’s adaptability remains central to its identity. Its name, React Online, reflects its ability to respond to the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The company’s past work includes interactive projects for Disney and BMW, and its animations continue to appear on parking payment machines across the Netherlands.
With AI now playing an increasingly dominant role in digital development, React Online is shifting focus toward AI, voice technology, and data-driven platforms. The company has positioned these tools as essential for future digital experiences.
To mark its anniversary, React Online is hosting a series of events for clients, partners, and employees, highlighting its history while looking ahead to future advancements.
CEO Imre Gmelig Meijling commented on the company’s journey:
"We are proud of our journey and the successes we have achieved with our customers and partners. And we are not standing still. By continuing to innovate and collaborate, we will make an even greater impact in the online world in the years to come."
