DrupalCamp NJ 2025 to Feature Experts on UX, Web Management, AI, and Drupal Modules

DrupalCamp NJ 2025, set for March 13-15 at Princeton University, will feature a lineup of expert speakers covering user experience, web management, AI integration, and Drupal module development. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in training, sessions, and collaborative contributions to enhance their skills and knowledge within the Drupal ecosystem.

Suzanne Dergacheva, co-founder of Evolving Web and marketing lead for Drupal CMS, will present "4 Big Ideas in UX and Content Strategy". The session will explore key trends influencing website investment, including the shift toward engaging homepage experiences, adopting digital storytelling techniques used by media organizations, leveraging design systems for consistent branding, and simplifying navigation for improved usability. The session is designed for professionals involved in content and design decisions in web projects.

Nneka Hector, Director of Web Development at DSFederal and organizer of Drupal4Gov, will lead "Harnessing the Digital Dragon: Web Management". The session will address challenges in managing large-scale websites, covering strategies for content governance, team management, accessibility compliance, and content audits. Hector will also introduce tools for measuring a website’s reach and success, providing actionable insights for digital teams looking to improve their workflow and user experience.

Vincenzo Gambino, Senior PHP and JavaScript Developer, will explore AI integration in "Unlocking New Capabilities in Drupal with OpenAI Integration". He will demonstrate how Drupal can leverage OpenAI’s GPT model to generate content, answer queries, and enhance user interactions. The session will also cover the use of vector databases to enable a ChatGPT-like search experience, utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) as an alternative to fine-tuning models. Attendees with an understanding of APIs, content creation, and site configuration will benefit from this session.

Michael Anello, co-founder of DrupalEasy and an experienced Drupal trainer, will present "The Modules of Drupal CMS", offering an in-depth look at contributed modules that extend Drupal’s functionality. Through live demonstrations, he will showcase modules that may be valuable for a variety of web projects, even beyond traditional Drupal sites. The session is aimed at those with basic Drupal site-building experience who want to explore new tools to optimize their websites.
