Women in Drupal Award 2026 Opens Nominations Ahead of DrupalCon Rotterdam
Nominations are open for the Women in Drupal Award 2026, sponsored by JAKALA, with submissions due by 14 August 2026. The award ceremony is scheduled for 29 September 2026 at DrupalCon Rotterdam 2026, which runs from 28 September to 1 October 2026.
The award, now in its fifth year, recognises women whose work has strengthened Drupal through contribution, leadership, innovation, mentorship, advocacy, business growth, design, strategy, events, or open source community building. For 2026, organisers have moved from the previous Define, Build, and Scale category structure to a single award focused on overall contribution and impact.
The official award page says nominations are open to women from across the Drupal community, including developers, architects, designers, user experience specialists, strategists, consultants, marketers, business leaders, recruiters, founders, community organisers, advocates, contributors, mentors, and volunteers. The list is not exhaustive, and organisers say a nominee may qualify if her work has made Drupal, its community, or the wider open source ecosystem stronger.
The nomination form asks for the nominee’s name, a Drupal.org profile, LinkedIn profile, website, or another relevant link, and a summary of the nominee’s contribution and impact. The form also states that the submitter’s information will be kept confidential.
Nominations will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges drawn from the Drupal community and previous award winners. Judges will consider each nominee’s overall contribution, impact, leadership, and commitment to the Drupal ecosystem. Winners are scheduled to be notified on 28 August 2026.
More information and the nomination form are available on the official Women in Drupal Award 2026 page.
