Nominations for the fifth Women in Drupal Award close on 14 August 2026, with the winner due to be recognised at DrupalCon Rotterdam. The official award page says women from across the Drupal community can be nominated regardless of role or area of expertise. JAKALA, which created the award, is supporting the 2026 programme.

This year’s programme uses one award for overall contribution and impact instead of the previous Define, Build, and Scale categories. Organisers say judges will consider contribution, impact, leadership, and commitment to Drupal, with nominations covering work in areas such as development, design, business, mentoring, advocacy, events, and open-source contribution. Winner notifications are scheduled for 28 August 2026.

The 2026 jury includes 2025 award winners Sinduri Guntupalli and Emma Horrell, 2024 winner Esmeralda Tijhoff, Baddy Sonja Breidert, CEO and co-founder of 1xINTERNET, and Kitt Ralkov, managing director for DXP France, UK and Nordic at JAKALA.

The award ceremony is scheduled for 29 September 2026 from 18:00 to 18:20 CEST at the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam during DrupalCon Rotterdam. The conference runs from 28 September to 1 October 2026. Nominations can be submitted through the form linked from the official award page.
