Celebrate Drupal’s 25th Anniversary: Host or Join a Local Event Starting January 8
Drupal turns 25 this January 15, and the Drupal Association is celebrating the milestone with a week-long global event starting January 8. We invite every corner of the Drupal community to take part by joining a local event, organising one, or simply recognising the occasion in your own way.
After 25 years of powering websites and building one of the most vibrant open-source communities in the world, Drupal’s anniversary is a chance to reflect on its impact and the people behind it. From contributors and developers to site builders, designers, and advocates, this celebration is for everyone who helped shape Drupal into what it is today.
Across the globe, local groups are preparing to celebrate, from full-scale meetups to simple gatherings over coffee or cake. You don’t need a large venue or budget to get involved. Whether you're part of a meetup group, a company using Drupal, a university team, or a solo contributor, we encourage you to mark the occasion your way. Organise a meetup. Bring a cake to the office. Host a virtual call with your Drupal friends. What matters most is coming together to celebrate.
If you're planning an event, no matter the size, we’d love to hear about it. The Drop Times will be spotlighting events and community stories throughout the celebration week to highlight the global footprint of this milestone. Submit your event details via this form: https://forms.gle/EPWhAU2ga7bdB4Gg6.
This is a chance to show the strength, diversity, and unity of the Drupal community. Every gathering, whether virtual or in person, adds to the global celebration and keeps the spirit of open collaboration alive.
