Splash Awards 2026 Name Winning Drupal Projects in Rotterdam
Drupal projects spanning artificial intelligence, public services, healthcare, publishing, commerce and other sectors were named winners of the 2026 International Splash Awards during DrupalCon Rotterdam. The official results announcement published winners and runners-up across ten categories. Organisers reported 40% more submissions than in 2025.
The award programme accepted entries across 11 categories. Entries were evaluated by an independent jury using criteria including business case, technology, concept and strategy, design and user experience, quality of execution, innovativeness and community value. The International Splash Awards returned in 2025 after a break and are now held alongside DrupalCon Europe.
Among the winners, “The AI the EU could actually trust: EPSO's source-grounded answer engine” by Dropsolid AI won Government & Public Services; “blökkli — the open-source in-page editing experience for Drupal” by Liip won Tools / Apps; and Liip's “pharmaSuisse ‘Fakten & Zahlen’ — interactive data visualisation” won Publishing / Media. The blökkli project also won AI-Enhanced Experiences. In Corporate, “Drupal as a foundation for continuous improvement: The digital ecosystem of The Hague University of Applied Sciences” by Netvlies took the category award.
“Transforming Three Global Travel Brands with One Drupal Platform” by Zoocha won Design / UX, while “Luiss Corporate website, Design system and AI search” by SparkFabrik won Education. “Finstral Compendium” by Factorial.io received the Commerce award, and “Health First: Multiple Audiences. One Drupal Platform” by Vardot won Healthcare. In Non-profit, “Empowering healthier lives: a platform for awareness, prevention and action for diabetes” by SWIS was the winner.
The runners-up were “From Scripts to Sovereignty. How Pidpa replaced contact centre overhead with auditable, citizen-facing AI” by Dropsolid AI in Government & Public Services; “Dutch Safety Region South Limburg: Empowering citizens through digital crisis communication” by 1xINTERNET in Tools / Apps; and “From Print to Digital Storytelling: How STAN Magazine Reimagined Publishing with Drupal” by ImageX in Publishing / Media. “Atelier by AIncient Labs — the AI-first Website Studio built on Drupal” by Factorial.io was runner-up in AI-Enhanced Experiences, while “Volkswagen AG InfoPortal” by drunomics GmbH took the Corporate runner-up place.
Liip's pharmaSuisse “Fakten & Zahlen” project was runner-up in Design / UX, and “Wageningen University & Research - How WUR replaced a fragmented web landscape with one central, AI-powered Drupal platform” by iO was runner-up in Education. “Building the Digital Museum: How Drupal Powers the Belvedere's Entire Ecosystem” by acolono placed second in Commerce, while “Turning 350 Healthcare Career Options into One Clear Journey” by Reading Room was runner-up in Healthcare. Factorial.io's “UPD Foundation Advisory Cockpit” completed the published results as runner-up in Non-profit.
The results gave two category wins to blökkli, while pharmaSuisse “Fakten & Zahlen” received a Publishing / Media win and a Design / UX runner-up place. eSepia sponsored the 2026 International Splash Awards.
