Drupal Offers Code of Conduct Training with Otter Tech for Community Members
The Drupal Community Working Group (CWG) has announced its continued partnership with Otter Tech to offer live, monthly, online Code of Conduct incident response training for the Drupal community.
This training aims to equip Drupal community members with "first responder" skills to handle potential Code of Conduct issues at Drupal events. The workshops cover topics such as protecting reporter privacy, frameworks for deciding consequences of inappropriate behavior, bias and microaggressions, personal conflicts, false reporting, power dynamics, and interactive practice enforcing a Code of Conduct.
Attendees can learn from Code of Conduct enforcement teams from other open-source events, facilitating knowledge-sharing across different communities. In addition to contributing to the Drupal community, being a Code of Conduct contact for Drupal events offers an opportunity to make a difference without needing to know how to code.
The standard workshop costs $350, but Otter Tech offers a $50 discount for Drupal community members. Drupal community members will receive a community contribution credit on Drupal.org after completing the training. They may be listed on Drupal.org in the Drupal Community Workgroup section, highlighting their completion of the training.
The Drupal Community Working Group is committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming community for all, and this training is an important step toward achieving that goal. Those interested in taking advantage of the discount should complete the form to register their interest.
