SparkFabrik to Host Drupal x Business Online Event on AI, Design Systems and Automation

The February 13 session will examine AI governance, Display Builder, and agent-driven automation within Drupal’s evolving enterprise ecosystem.
SparkFabrik Drupal x Business Event Set for February 13

The next edition of “Talks on My Machine”, hosted by SparkFabrik, is scheduled for from 09:30 to 13:00 CET. Titled Drupal x Business: Next-Gen Digital Experiences, the free online session will examine artificial intelligence governance, visual site building, and agent-based automation within Drupal’s evolving enterprise ecosystem.

The half-day programme is framed around three themes: AI safety and governance, visual building aligned with design systems, and autonomous agents integrated into Drupal workflows. Organisers describe the event as a technical and strategic review of how Drupal is evolving in response to increased regulatory requirements, integration complexity, and operational demands.

AI Governance and Guardrails

James Abrahams, Director at FreelyGive and member of the Drupal AI Initiative leadership team, will explore use cases around Claude Code and agent-based experimentation in Drupal. His session focuses on extending AI beyond code generation into automation and structured interaction with Drupal systems.

Luca Lusso will present updates from the Drupal AI module ecosystem, including version 1.3 and its guardrails subsystem. The session is expected to demonstrate how input and output validation mechanisms can mitigate hallucinations, prompt injection risks, and exposure of sensitive data. Additional discussion will cover integrations with FlowDrop, asynchronous agent execution via Symfony Messenger, and early experimentation around Symfony AI.

Display Builder and Design Systems

Michaël Fanini, co-leader of the UI Suite initiative, will present updates on Display Builder, positioned as a native visual builder for design systems in Drupal. The session will outline how the tool integrates with Single Directory Components, Icon API, and UI Suite modules to unify display configuration across Views, Layout Builder, and other interfaces.

The presentation is expected to focus on practical demonstrations rather than roadmap discussions, with an emphasis on reducing fragmentation in display construction workflows.

AI Agents and Tool Integration

Roberto Peruzzo will examine the implementation of AI agents within Drupal projects, including the use of the Tool API and MCP Client for integration with external MCP servers. The session will walk through a customer assistant example combining structured tools, Slack notifications, and Drupal’s no-code interface for agent assembly.

The technical emphasis across sessions appears to be on control, compliance, and maintainability rather than speculative AI positioning.
