The Drop Times aims to measure and support the Drupal community's global growth. Drupal.org data is limited by privacy, spam, and incomplete locations. Instead, LinkedIn search is used to find Drupal users by keyword and geography. Though not perfectly accurate, this method provides a practical, consistent metric to track community spread and growth. Despite potential errors from outdated profiles, non-LinkedIn users, and rounded search results, the data is useful for organizing events and assessing community health. Feedback to improve this approach is welcomed.
