2 Days to Submit Pitch-Burgh Entries

The deadline for submitting entries to Pitch-Burgh is fast approaching! The final date for video submissions is 25 May 2023. A panel of judges will review all submissions between 25 May and 30 May.

Pitch-Burgh is a pitching event and innovation contest for entrepreneurs, all those interested are encouraged to submit their pitches and highlighting the potential opportunities and benefits of participating in the event. Taking inspiration from American TV show ‘Shark Tank,’ Dries Buytaert, founder of Drupal made the announcement through his blog. The contest that will happen alongside DrupalCon Pittsburgh, and is fittingly named ‘Pitch-Burgh’.

To participate in Pitch-burgh, members of the Drupal community are invited to submit a short video pitching their innovative idea, along with a request for funding. People from all backgrounds, areas, and levels of expertise can participate. Anyone can enter; attending DrupalCon Pittsburgh is not a requirement.

The Drupal Association has secured over $75,000 to be distributed among the most compelling proposals received by May 25th, with no minimum limit on the size of the proposals, meaning a $1,000 "quick fix" is just as eligible as a $20,000 proposal. Furthermore, both individuals and companies are welcome to submit entries as long as their pitches contribute to Drupal's ongoing innovation, whether through code, design, documentation, or improvements to the contribution process.

Dries hopes the funding will inspire many to participate in the "Drupal Pitch-burg" innovation contest alongside DrupalCon Pittsburgh.
