Winners of the First-Ever Splash Awards Asia Announced at DrupalCon Singapore 2024
History was made today at DrupalCon Singapore 2024 as the first-ever Splash Awards in Asia took center stage. In a night filled with excitement, inspiration, and well-deserved recognition, the brightest minds and most impactful projects in the Drupal community were honored for their exceptional contributions.
This year’s ceremony marks a significant milestone for the Splash Awards, which has now celebrated a decade of recognizing excellence in Drupal projects worldwide. Over the past 10 years, the Splash Awards have become a global symbol of achievement, shining a spotlight on outstanding work in website development, digital experience design, and open-source contributions within the Drupal ecosystem. With its debut in Asia, the awards further extended their legacy, offering developers, agencies, and contributors from the region the chance to showcase their work on an international stage.
Projects were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges: Archita Arora (User Experience Designer, QED42), Jim Koutsouris (Technical Project Manager, Morpht), John Doyle (CEO, Digital Polygon), Jakub Piasecki (Developer & Architect, Centarro), and Annam Sreenivasan (Business Analyst, Axelerant). Entries were assessed based on concept, design, execution, and impact, with awards presented across five categories: Corporate, Education, Government, Not-for-Profit, and Open Source.
In the Corporate category, the winner is Sparks Interactive for their project Subaru New Zealand. The platform was praised for its user-centric design and robust performance. The runner-up is Srijan Technologies. The other finalists in this category were Digital Circus and Red Airship.

The Education category sees Material+ take the top honor for their work on insead.edu, which elegantly integrates functionality and user engagement for academic users. The runner-up is PreviousNext. Other finalists included WeebPal Technology Corporation and Morpht.

In the Government category, PreviousNext claims the award for its work on beta.mentallyhealthyworkplaces.gov.au, recognized for its excellence in accessibility and usability. The runner-up is Sparks Interactive. Other finalists in this category were Sitback Solutions and Unimity Solutions Private Limited.

The Not-for-Profit category honors QED42 for their project diabetes.org, a website that supports diabetes awareness and outreach through thoughtful design and functionality. The runner-up is Axelerant. Other finalists included Genero, Inc. and Yayasan Amaliah Astra.

In the Open Source category, the winner is RealityLoop for Druxt.js. The runner-up is Sparks Interactive for their significant contributions to the Drupal community. Other finalists in this category included Service NSW and PreviousNext for their work on Drupal Issue #2350939 and WeebPal Technology Corporation for We Mega Menu.

The highlight of the evening is the Best in Show award, presented by Drupal Founder and Project Lead Dries Buytaert. PreviousNext bagged this exceptional recognition.
