Drupal Toronto Hosts Global Launch of Drupal CMS
The global launch of Drupal CMS is set to take place on January 15, 2025, with a series of engaging events hosted by Drupal Toronto. This full-day celebration combines knowledge-sharing, hands-on mentorship, and community networking to mark a major milestone for the open-source content management platform.
The event begins with an afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST, offered in a hybrid format at CSI Spadina in Toronto and online via Zoom. Attendees will experience a variety of presentations that showcase the platform’s latest features and tools. Highlights include Pierre Marcel of Therefore Interactive introducing the low-code capabilities of Drupal CMS, Martin Anderson-Clutz of Acquia demonstrating Drupal Recipes for rapid functionality setup, and Aidan Foster of Foster Interactive exploring AI-powered site building. Rob Loach and Bob McDonald of Kalamuna will close the presentations with insights into using the ECA module for no-code automation of workflows and sequences.
A guided mentor session will follow, allowing participants to interact directly with the presenters and receive step-by-step assistance in exploring the new features of Drupal CMS. Advance instructions for setting up an OpenAI API key and installing the platform will be provided, ensuring a seamless hands-on experience.
The celebration continues into the evening with a launch party from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM EST. This in-person gathering at CSI Spadina offers an opportunity to connect with members of the Drupal community over food and drinks in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Organized by Pierre Marcel, Andrew Mallis, and Aidan Foster, and supported by sponsors including Foster Interactive, Kalamuna, and Therefore, the event is free to attend, but space is limited. Interested participants are encouraged to RSVP promptly to secure their place.
